I've had the privilege and the honor of fishing with you for several years
and I've always had a fantastic time, along with the different groups that
I've brought down to the lake. Regardless if we limit out and/or catch our
limit of overs, you have always worked hard to find the fish and to keep us
on fish. Additionally, you are not hesitant to share your knowledge of the
lake, fishing patterns, fishing equipment, and points of interest in and
around the lake. Lastly, you are more than a fishing guide. You are a man
of impeccable integrity, a man of faith, a devoted husband to your right
hand lady, JoLean, and an unselfish giver of your time and resources to
Wounded Warriors to name a few. You will ALWAYS be my guide of choice on
Lake Texoma and my recommended guide to family members, friends and

Every time that I have been fishing with J.D. if we didn't catch the limit it was always close. We never failed to catch fish. J.D. was always professional and on time. Never once did we ever worry or guess about what or where we were or where we were going.
He has a great personality and always willing to please his customers. He is trustable and very dedicated about being a guide. You can tell that he is totally happy and doing what he was meant to do. This is his "dream job".
J.D. has surely buffaloed JoLean into being his partner as well as his wife. She is a perfect addition to his life and Striper Service. If you are looking for a great time and adventure, their the ones that you will want to use.
On a personal side note, I would be willing to do whatever I could to aid and assist them in about anything they needed. I completely love them both and would trust them at all cost. This part is probably cheesy and uncalled for but it is true. For the time that I have known J.D. and his sweetheart, they became family and I love them both dearly.

I want to thank you for hosting such a great day of fishing for my family. My 8 year old son and 12 year old nephew caught the biggest fish they had ever hooked, and made memories that will last them a lifetime. JD is everything that you want in a fishing guide. He is a top notch seasoned boat captain who does not miss a thing. He knows the lake and all the best fishing spots. From the very first time that we dropped our lines in the water we were catching fish. Our party included four people and we ALL caught our limit of 10 fish each. That was 40 fish in a little over 4 hours of time. It was amazing! What a great day of fishing. If you only book one fishing trip a year I would highly recommend that you contact JD and book it with him. You will not be disappointed!!!

JD, I got on your boat and I was 5 foot 11 inches. I got off your boat and I am pretty sure I was 5 foot 4 inches, but it was the best 5 foot 4 inches I have been in a long time. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your hard work on a really, really hard fishing day. As a first timer, fishing for Striper I had no expectations but what I will remember about the trip is not the number of fish we caught, but the company we were in when we caught the fish. I enjoyed your company and look forward to fishing with you again. P.S.: It was really nice to end the day with some really big fish.

Hey Jerry, Well it has been 5 great years for me and my customers using Cross Creek Striper Guide Service found at www.striperfish.com. This year a bit different in catching stripers though, but nothing different about the service you have always offered. Each year, we get a large group (40+) and each year you come through and show us a GREAT time.
To all of those reading this post: If you just want a boat ride and no conversation and get in and get out, this is not your guide.. Jerry is a down to earth, professional angler that is not only there to get you on fish which he does, but to ensure you have a great time as well. For 5 years like clock work, we get together via email around Feb/Mar planning this trip. He has some great contacts and manages to get a bunch of guides off the lake each year to take us out. Let it be known, that not only is he a great guide, but those he chooses to support this effort are great as well.. He doesn't miss a beat.
He truly believes in what he does, and enjoys kidding around from time to time. Get him to tell you about Du Da, great one Jerry. The other thing you may not know about Jerry is his dedication to veterans. Being a veteran myself, it is great to hear his excitement about helping those that have served and or serving our country. My friend Don Reimer and I fished with Jerry Dorsey two times during the spring of 2010, in April and June. Both times we had a great time and were treated like royalty by Jerry and his wife JoLean. The fishing was some of the best I have had, and I have fished on three continents. I highly recommend giving Jerry Dorsey a chance for some of the best fishing anywhere. He is professional and knows his business.
If ya'll ever want a great fishing trip,hook up with my step dad Jerry. He will get you out and you will catch your limit and not get bored sitting and waiting. He kept my 5 yr old and 7 yr old busy catching one right after the other. They caught 25 fish that day. WOW

Hello JD, I can't say in words of how much I enjoyed our fishing trip on April 23,
It was one of the best fishing trips I've ever had catching quality fish. I have to say your professionalism was top notch, and
you were very pleasant to fish with. I will defiantly be calling on you for another trip in the future. I'll never forget about my
trip and the memories I made with my father in-law Clarence Bear for as long as I live. I also have told a few buddies about the
experience and they are looking to book with you. So, expect a few calls coming from some of them in Oklahoma.

Thanks again for making
our 39th anniversary one to be remembered. We
not only had a great time, but in all my years fishing, I've never seen
it so fast and furious. We got to the spot around 7:00 AM and limited
out by 7:40. What a trip.

I couldn't believe the
number of fish surface feeding on the lake the
morning we fished (Jul 12 2008). Once they started they didn't stop. We
used everything from top water, slabs, sassy shads and live bait. The
experience is one my brothers and I enjoyed and hope to enjoy again in
the future. We really enjoyed fishing with you Jerry and will come back
in the future.

J.D. Dorsey is a guide's
guide. I have used guides in hunting,
flyfishing and bass fishing and none have gotten close to Dorsey when
it comes to hard work, knowledge and most importantly...good old
fashioned results. This guy knows his stuff and makes sure you get on
the fish. Not to mention he is alot of fun. Just don't get in front of
his fish finder while he's working. I lost an eye doing just that. I
can't reccomend anyone any higher than I would J.D. Dorsey.

years and never came home with out fish. I have found him to be not
only a good fishing guide, but a friend and an interesting person to

JD, has been part of my
families lives for about seven years. I have
never been with him that we didn't catch large fish and fill our limit.
Until this year. But, the weather turned on us, and it got very cold
and blustery, and I am talking about some wind, almost biblical
proportion wind. Although we did catch fish, and a few "big" ones. And
as usual Mr. Dorsey hunted for them as hard as ever. Never once in the
seven or so years have we ever left fishing with JD, that we felt that
he could have done better. I am not a fisherman, I don't even like to
fish. My brothers talked me into coming with them into going with them
that first year and I have been going ever sense. A brother-in-law to
my older brother. gave him his spot on this trip because he and the men
that were to be with him couldn't go, for their work schedule changed.
I do not fish with anyone else, because I don't like to fish. JD, makes
it worth my time to fish because, well, "he is just so cute"! Truely,
JD knows what he is doing and the time and money that is put into the
trip and knowing that you will catch fish makes just good sense, and it
is fun. And this is from a person that doesn't like fishing.

My wife and I scheduled
an impromptu fishing trip with JD on 10/Aug/06.
The temperature was hot and the fishing started a little slow. However
with his professional persistence, JD also kept the fishing hot. We
ended up with plenty of fish, including some trophy size stripers. We
